Australian style lunch

SIMPLYASEP.COM When the Kang Guru Indonesia representatives and I finished completing a meeting with the staff of the Indonesia Australia Language Foundation (I.A / L / F) in Denpasar, Bali, from 14 to 17 December 2011, we were treated to lunch by them. .

That day, December 16, 2012, actually I and my friends of the Champion Kang Guru Indonesia had agreed to enjoy lunch at the NIKMAT Denpasar Shop, which we had visited in 2008. Down from the All Seasons Hotel, we wanted to go straight out to look for lunch at the warteg.

But our intention was frustrated because Mr. Kevin Dalton, Project Manager of Kang Guru Indonesia, asked all of us to have lunch at the IALF Building in Jalan Sesetan. You don't need to go anywhere. Besides, you have been offered the same boss, so you are also delicious if you are released.

Oh well, because I really like the thing that is free or free (Certified Free Hunter, I also just had fun to accept Mr. Kevin's invitation. Friends of Representatives of KangGURU Se Indonesia, who number 7 (seven), also have the same opinion. Like the Free, free, HIheiheiheiehiehiee, whichever is free is usually good, but unfortunately, AJI MUMPUNG's spell cannot be applied here.

See the results of my work in baking beef sausage. everything is a mess aka burning. Luckily the chef was out. Who wants to eat the results of my grill? Photo of Mahendra / Kang Guru Indonesia

SANDWICH: This is the Australian-style Sandwich menu that is already available. There are beef sausages, onions, and various salads. My stomach is genuine Indonesia, so a "magical" menu like this I rather dislike. Photo of Asep Haryono

Apparently Wrong
Why can you apply AJI MUMPUNG? Yes because everything has been presented or available and presented by Kang Guru Indonesia as a thank you for coming to fulfill their invitation. And we 7 (Syahrir from Makasar, Fadel from NTB, Keyko from Semarang, Wibowo from Medan, Ririn from Jakarta, Suryadi from Madura, and myself representatives from Pontianak) were also told the same time when lunch was an Australian Sandwich style Lunch. What is the name anyway? Several invitations were present at the event.

"How come it's not riced lunch," said Fadel from NTB. Hheihieheie, her name is also an Indonesian who is used to being spoiled with rice menus, so even if you haven't found rice, it's said that it's not eating. Aside from being called snacks or snacks, then we consider this Australian Ala lunch invitation to be just a snack or snack. "It's the most effective case (read: KFC) that has wings and breasts," said Wibowo from Medan.

Burning food on the grill
Before the lunch program began, we held a friendly gathering with fellow Champion, together, meeting and gathering with the staff of the Indonesia Australia Language Foundation (IALF) and the teacher Kang Indonesian teacher, who was a bule OZ (Read: Ozey). But even though the label is "OZ" there are also teaching staff who are not Australian, For example, Sue Rodger who is married to a Balinese turned out to be the original Liverpool man. "I love Beatles very much," he once said. Hmmm, really? The same thing, I also like Paul Mc Cartney with the song titled "Let It Be". Hiehiehiheihe

There were no long speeches or speeches like the tradition of Indonesians, the OZ people are not many speeches. There was indeed a short speech from Mr. Kevin Dalton, Manager of the Kang Guru Indonesia, at the Australian Sandwich Party event but only briefly. Immediately called this event a success and a thank you.  Wow its very short. Maybe this Mr. Kevin knows his children are starving. The clock also shows at 13.30 WIB Denpasar Time which is 1 hour faster than Pontianak.

So if in Pontianak at 13.00 WIB, then the time in Denpasar is around 14.00 WIB. So a short speech, then the children immediately crushed. For the Australian menu that is the sandwich itself is cooked in the yard.

I had tried to cook oval meat which is said to be called Sausage on his customers. Look at the chef on my cooking so I want to try cooking it. "Bli, can you try the cooking, you want to know," I said. Hooray welcome. It turned out to be difficult too, even though it only worked back and forth the oval flesh earlier, eventually many were also charred. Indeed you experience

Apparently Not Good
Because ordinary, understand usually accommodated, met events so clunky, also with representatives of Kang Teachers in other Indonesia is also rather awkward. With the exception of Syahrir Badulu, the Kanguru Indonesia representative from Makassar (South Sulawesi) seems to have gotten used to it. The father of four who turned out to be from Bandung is now settled in Makassar, a high school English teacher in the city of Angin Mamiri until now. Almost every day I contact this Syahrir Kang.

This Kang Syahrir might be familiar with OZ Party events like this. It could be, and maybe a natural thing because his Masters in the field of TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) took him at the University of Victoria, New South Wales. So the name of food like this just like snacks for him. But not for those of us who usually catch a catfish pecel, and Bakwan suddenly meets Sandwich, he can immediately "get drunk"

There is a salad there. I saw Mrs. Sue Rodger eating her salad very well. I was also intrigued to just try and challenge myself with this menu. Once I tasted a small plate of SALAD OZ in the form of onions, tomatoes, potatoes, radish mixed with mayonnaise, it turned out to be very bad. For my tongue, it feels "weird". I ended up driving to the corner and I left the small plate of SALAD. While pretending to smile here and there, I invaded Sandwich.

By standing
Unfortunately, I also suffered the same fate. The OZ Sandwich menu which is exactly the same in the photo that I uploaded here also feels uncomfortable for my tongue. The beef sausage meat tastes bland, the fried onions are rancid in my nose.

STANDING PARTY: Maybe this is a tradition that is prevalent in OZ, there are not many seats provided here all enjoy eating while standing. Photo of Asep Haryono

UNIQUE: This is also an invitation-style menu, and it's unique not to use a glass plate here. Wow, it's fun. Photo of Asep Haryono

RELAX: The show is relaxed. There were IALF staff and teachers who were also mostly filled by local instructors. Look at the guy I crossed [X] called Adi. He is an alumni from Australia and serves as a Teaching staff at IALF Denpasar. He had died of a heart attack in early 2012. Photo of Asep Haryono

All that is received is only the sheet of bread that tastes "market" because everywhere Bread tastes universal, the taste of bread. Finally, my "struggle" landed on the NUSANTARA menu. Well, here it is. INDONESIA menu. This is me almost a real plate. Hiehihiehe. Long Live INDONESIA. Merdeka!!!!!.

Actually, I was able to record the VIDEO of this program, but because of the time too, and it seemed to be loading long because the file was quite large. In the video, I had "interviewed" Adi, an Australia S2 Alumni, at the event when he ate his Sandwich menu. For those who have not yet seen Adi look better, I will upload a picture of him in action during the 20th Anniversary of the Indonesian Teachers' Festival in November 2009 at IALF Denpasar, which I succeeded in capturing. Adi is now gone a long time. Rest in peace, Adi. (Asep Haryono)
