Happy 61st Anniversary Of Independence Day, Malaysia

www.simplyasep.com  First of all, I would like to express my happiness and joy the people of Malaysia on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of Independence day on August 31st.   Malaysia and Indonesia are "brotherhood" for years and I just cannot close my eyes to the fact that I am so happy of the country celebrating its national day.

I have visited Malaysia almost three times since I was in the fourth semester at the university in Pontianak, West Borneo, Indonesia.  Regarding the word "Pontianak" which can be interpreted as "ghost" for some people of Malaysia. This can be understood for years.  I am just telling them that its only a name of the city, and its capital city of West Kalimantan Pontianak.

Back to my memories about Malaysia. As I have told you before that I have visited Malaysia three times since the year of 1990   My very first visit done in last February, 1994.  I was with several students of FKIP UNTAN Pontianak visited Institute Technology Mara Kuching Sarawak Malaysia.

My second visit in the year of 2002 if I was not mistaken.  I was with also several officers of National Family Planning Board (BKKBN) Republic of Indonesia and some journalist from different news companies in Indonesia.  We stayed Merdeka Palace hotel which for me was very comfortable.

The last visit to Malaysia is in Kuala Lumpur.  I was one of the lucky youth of Indonesia attended youth summit held by AIR ASIA and SIMON DARBY company called Youth Engagement Summit (YES) held in Putrajaya Convention Center last 16 to 17th of November 2009.   Unfortunately I did not have time to explore Kuala Lumpur at that time.  I visited Twin Towers only.

I wish I could visit Kuala Lumpur again sometime in the future.  I must save my money first to trip Malaysia through Air Asia Malaysia.  Perhaps Mr Tony Fernandes (which I have seen him directly during YES Kuala Lumpur in 2009) can support the initiative I have taken.

I doubt he can listen to me. I have tweeted him over his Twitter account and said many hi to Mr Tony Fernandes over Istagram and Twitter, and I have never received any reply yet.  Hahahah. Poor me. Hehehehe.

Happy 61st Independence Day of Malaysia August 31.  I am longing for Kuala Lumpur. I miss Malaysia so much.  Until we meet again.  (Asep Haryono)
