Pontianak Jami Mosque
If you decide to visit Pontianak, you will not be considered unless you visit the Mosque of Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman or well known as The Jami Mosque.  Standing marvelously since a few years ago, covered an area about 6.755m2, with an area of 1.250m2 for the mosque.

The Mosque resides east of the Kapuas river exactly very close to Bugis village, east of Pontianak district of area.  You can reach the place by local canoe or "sampan" from the Parit Besar,of Seng Hie or hiring a car through the Kapuas Bridge.

Keraton Kadriyah 
Pontianak, the capital city of West Kalimantan will not separated with those two ancient and honoured by local people : Pontianak Jamik Mosque and Keraton Kadriyah or Kadariyah Palace.  If you decide to visit Pontianak, don't forget to visit this Palace of Kadriyah Keraton in Pontianak.

The palace was used to be a centre of administration Government of the first Sultanate of Pontianak.  The building was very strong enough  consist of Belian wood.  The kind of wood which is known as one of the strongest wood in the world.  You could reach the palace can be reached in about 15 minutes from  Pontianak.
